Planned Gift

Select a campaign you wish to support

Throughout your life, you’ve always found different ways to contribute to the well-being of society. You make donations or give your time as a volunteer to charitable organizations like CECI.

Would you like to continue your commitment to international solidarity supporting the world’s most vulnerable communities? Planned giving may be the best way for you to continue contributing to the causes you hold dear. You can leave a legacy gift, a gift of life insurance, a gift of securities or explore one of the many other ways for you to give.

Through planned giving, you are sowing the seeds today for the harvest of tomorrow.

Tax Advantages for Your Estate

Planned giving can also be part of your tax planning to lighten the taxes that will be paid on your estate. When a death occurs, the income earned over the year, RRSPs and RRIFs, as well as capital gains and income generated through the sale of a building, other than the home, are taxable. Planned Giving provides non-refundable tax credits that can be used to reduce taxes.

When it comes to planned gifts, it is always best to consult a specialist (accountant, tax expert, broker, financial advisor, notary or lawyer). This way, you can rest assured that your will accurately reflects your intentions and that your estate benefits from all the advantages of smart estate planning.

Do not forget to contact CECI so that we can help you indicate clearly in your will how you would like your donation to be designated. This will also give us the opportunity to thank you and to talk to you about how your donation can be recognized and acknowledged.

Every donation is precious for CECI and enables us to take action as quickly as possible when humanitarian emergencies arise.
