During natural disasters, conflicts and famines, every hour is precious. Unfortunately, there is often a delay between a country’s call for help and the arrival of foreign government aid.
The Emergency Fund allows us to respond quickly to emergencies and help the most vulnerable populations, without having to wait for government funding.
This Fund can also be used to prevent or minimize the consequences of natural disasters and other difficult situations. In the past, CECI has intervened in situations of food insecurity, natural disaster relief, climate change risk mitigation and resilience, pandemics, and human security, particularly with women and girls who are the most vulnerable during conflicts and disasters.
CECI calls for your solidarity in support of the Haitian people, who were hit hard by a 7.2 magnitude earthquake that shook the southwestern part of Haiti on Saturday morning, August 14, 2021.
