CECI strongly believes in the power of volunteer cooperation as a development tool.
In the current context of the COVID-19 pandemic, the engagement of volunteers, whether in programming countries or remotely, has been crucial in supporting the efforts of our partners to act more effectively against poverty. Not only through their involvement and altruism, but also through their availability and ability to adapt in a particularly unfavorable context, our volunteers demonstrate exemplary solidarity and a desire to build a better world together.
The volunteer cooperation programs implemented by CECI and its partners were quickly adapted to the current situation, to open up new avenues of cooperation, including remote volunteering, which allows the people involved to use their know-how. even in the comfort of their living room.
The Rosario Demers Prize recognizes the exceptional comitment of one of these volunteers in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
