We are hoping you will answer our call this year. Seeing increases in worldwide crises in the last few years — financial, economical, social and ecological — the world is looking for new alternatives and innovative solutions. Through its projects, CECI supports local communities in defining their economic future and achieving it themselves.
Our campaigns :
The current global economic crisis has increased food insecurity for the most vulnerable people in the world. The consequences of this food crisis on the developing countries where we operate are serious. However, CECI is recognized for meeting the challenges of the most threatened countries -mainly sub-Saharan Africa and Haiti.
The situation is particularly alarming in rural areas of the department of Oruro, where Aymara women face a Western-style health system that does not always respond to their needs and does not reflect their customs, and they end up turning to traditional medical practices.
Contest and exhibition for fair and sustainable social entrepreneurship in the Amazon
The «Contest and exhibition for fair and sustainable social entrepreneurship in the Amazon» has been created to raise awareness and support for small business projects in aboriginal communities throughout the region of San Martin, in the heart of the Peruvian Amazon.
THE ARMANDE BÉGIN FUND
Armande Bégin worked as a CECI volunteer in many countries. She was greatly involved in supporting initiatives aimed at improving the health of women and their children, as well as their economic situation. Donations received in memory of Mrs. Armande Bégin will support CECI's projects for women in Mali.
